Interim Administrative Hearing Guidelines for Title IX Matters

The following Interim Administrative Hearing Guidelines have been adopted, effective December  7, 2018, as an amendment to the Student Code of Conduct to comply with existing law.

 

What happens after a report is made

After a report of sexual misconduct is made, the Title IX Director, with the assistance of one or more Deputy Title IX Directors,

  1. implements appropriate interim/supportive measures;
  2. offers available resources to all parties involved in the incident; and
  3. initiates an investigation to ascertain whether there has been a violation of University policy/Title IX.

Throughout this process, the individual who is alleging sexual misconduct will be referred to as the complainant.  The individual who is being accused of sexual misconduct will be referred to as the respondent.
